An Easy Cinnamon Roll Christmas Tree that is a wonderful Christmas morning treat that is an easy breakfast idea. Made with store bought or homemade cinnamon rolls, green icing, and Christmas sprinkles this is a big hit with children and kids can make it all on their own.

I love how simple this Christmas breakfast is. We’ve made it several years in a row and the kids are always so excited for it.

It’s also great for a crowd because the tree can be made as big or as small as you really want. And if you are pressured for time you can use store bought cinnamon rolls or if you want you can make homemade ones.

My no yeast cinnamon rolls would be great to use to make this for a busy morning like Christmas.

How to make a cinnamon roll Christmas tree?

  1. Remove cinnamon rolls from packaging, reserving the icing for use later. Arrange the cinnamon rolls on an un-greased cookie sheet in a Christmas tree shape. Allow space between rolls to allow them to grow in the oven.
  2. Bake at 400 degrees F for about 20 minutes. If edge rolls are beginning to brown too quickly, cover the whole thing with foil. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool.
  3. Meanwhile, pour all of the icing from the packages into a small bowl. Add at least 5 drops food coloring, more if you want a deeper color.
  4. Spread the icing over the cinnamon roll Christmas tree and then sprinkle with Christmas sprinkles.
